Two-day Conference, Including Gala Dinner

The aim of this annual conference was to unite family business owners and next-generation leaders for two days of learning, sharing and connection. The event was designed to foster open dialogue around succession planning and long-term success, while offering practical advice, inspiration and support in a safe, welcoming environment. The Challenge

The conference is held annually, alternating between a UK regional location and London. This year’s brief required a venue that could support a wide-ranging programme including a main plenary space, five breakout syndicate rooms, and a dedicated seated catering area. The event also included a formal gala dinner and overnight accommodation, making smooth transitions and logistics essential.

A key challenge was to maintain the intimate, trusted atmosphere that family business members value, while scaling up to accommodate 200 delegates, multiple parallel sessions, and an elevated evening experience.

Our Solution

Avenue worked closely with the client to deliver a full event management service, ensuring every detail—from venue coordination to budget reconciliation—was meticulously handled. We sourced and secured both the conference and gala dinner venues, arranged accommodation and transport, and oversaw supplier communications across AV, entertainment, catering and branding.

In the lead-up to the event, our team attended venue site visits, managed all logistics, coordinated pre-event collateral, and prepared the delegate experience from end to end. During the event, we provided full on-site support, managing registration, room set-ups, food & beverage coordination, delegate movement, and supplier oversight.

Our team took a proactive approach throughout, resolving issues before they emerged and ensuring the smooth running of the conference. Post-event, we managed supplier payments and handled final budget reconciliation.
